In Harmony Therapeutic Services seeks New Board Members

Company Description

Accessible music therapy services are the passion and mission of In Harmony Therapeutic Services, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2018 by Alicia Hrubey, a professional musician and board certified music therapist.

In Harmony is a response to the significant funding gap that inhibits agencies (particularly school districts) from providing music therapy services. We intend to use our charitable status to seek resources so that all children and adolescents living with trauma, developmental disabilities, at-risk behaviors, and/or mental health issues who can benefit from music therapy have the chance to do so.

In Harmony Therapeutic Services sees a future in which all children and adolescents in need of services are able to receive them regardless of funding or their ability to pay. We strive to help children and adolescents living with trauma, developmental disabilities, at-risk behaviors, and/or mental health issues. We see a world in which the expressive arts are part of curricular experiences for all children.

The In Harmony Board of Directors is comprised of passionate individuals from the nonprofit and for-profit sector who are dedicated to the organization’s mission and values.

What are we looking for in a Board Member?

In Harmony Therapeutic Services seeks a well-connected individual who is passionate about the power of music as a vehicle for children and adolescents to process information and emotions, express themselves, learn, create, and heal. They will be able to leverage their networks and resources in support of efforts to positively impact the organization. The ideal candidate will have a track-record of supporting nonprofits and strong connections to Cleveland or Cuyahoga County decision makers who are in a position to positively impact In Harmony’s mission. We are specifically looking for a board member with expertise in fundraising, marketing & PR, and/or startups. Prior nonprofit board member experience preferred but not required.

If you are interested in being considered for board membership, please contact Board President Kathryn Bates.
