Overview:
- Consultation conducted by a board certified music therapist (MT-BC)
- Collaboration between parents/guardians and the students treatment team (i.e. speech and language pathologist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, intervention specialist)
- Initial consultation fee includes a music therapy assessment for the student.
Assessment:
- Conducted by a MT-BC to determine if music therapy is the right therapeutic fit for the student.
- Recommendations made to parents and school staff
- If music therapy services are appropriate, music therapy sessions continue at the therapeutic rate
