In Harmony Therapeutic Services Issues Call for Contractors

In Harmony Therapeutic Services is a non-profit expressive arts therapy practice that uses music to help children and adolescents process information and emotions, express themselves, learn, create, and heal. Our service providers are board certified music therapists who are overseen by an Executive Director and Board of Directors. We specialize in using trauma-informed music interventions to address individualized goals and objectives that may include learning academic concepts, improving communication, and building social and emotional skills. It is our hope that our work helps children live in harmony with themselves and the world around them.

We are seeking Board Certified Music Therapists (MT-BCs) in the Greater Cleveland, Ohio, region interested in working with our organization on a contractual basis. As our organization continues to grow, we will select applicants determined to be qualified to provide services on an as-needed basis. In Harmony currently provides services in-person and virtually to individuals, schools, and other agencies. This contract work has the potential to transition into full- or part-time employment depending on demand for services.

Applicants must hold the MT-BC credential from the Certification Board of Music Therapists or be taking the certification exam in the next six (6) months. Ideal candidates are those who:

  • want to be a part of building an organization in service to others
  • have strong clinical skills
  • have knowledge of the impact of trauma on individuals
  • are independent, creative thinkers
  • are organized
  • are committed to thorough documentation
  • value therapeutic rapport and relationship building
  • are committed to music therapy best practices and ethics
  • are open to supervision and feedback
  • are flexible in the ways services are provided (i.e., virtual, group, etc.)
  • value open communication
  • share In Harmony’s organizational values
